Joanne Evans is a Registered Nurse licensed in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. She has been a Care Manager for seven years and is a Certified Care Manager with the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. She has worked for over 25 years in hospitals, nursing homes and home health settings, including the George Washington University Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital and Washington Hospital Center and The Washington Home. While on staff at the National Center for Phobias, Anxiety and Depression, she provided counseling to individuals and groups. Joanne worked extensively in the home health field, serving as a visiting nurse and later coordinating all aspects of home care with physicians and facilities.
At Elder Care Consultants, Joanne is focused on client assessments and coordinating and monitoring all aspects of client care with the client and his/her family. In addition to ensuring the safety of her clients in their home setting, she provides regular education and counseling to clients and families as needed.
Joanne has great experience with disease process, medications and medical interventions. She also has expertise and training by The Alzheimer’s Association in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.
Joanne has a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Mary’s College, Notre Dame, in Indiana. She is a member of the American Nurse’s Association.
